Dear Alli,
May the gods grant me some patience as I deal with people who I find completely innept at doing their job. I actually waited two days before making this entry as I was so furious with their incompetence!
I received a letter, perhaps maybe five days past now. It contained no message at all from the sender, just simple a sentence from the original sender about the desire for a wand from the Magic Shop. Now, I have absolutely no problem with completing an enhancer order at all, even given that there was hardly anything to go off of from the ordering person.
My problem is when two days after I received the initial letter, I receive another (with a note this time) which states that I have taken too long!?! That is just complete craziness considering that the first message contained no note about my timeframe for this project or any information about it!
It was terrible! I finally spoke with the Chancellor about it, who didn't even have the courtesy to apologize for her filthy communication skills. I did end up being able to create the enhancer, though, even after I sent it in, I didn't receive a note informing me if it was acceptable to the ordering guild and my pay for it. There are times I wish to tell my Grand Commander to look for things on our Accounting slip when we receive them.
Just seems like that department is run by individuals who really need to learn some people and communication skills. Ah well, I suppose anything I yelled at the Chancellory would fall on deaf ears.
I'll just have to start tracking how often they miss classes or fail to respond to inquiries. Seems a shame as I really do enjoy being a part of the Magic Shop.
